2005-2 Bank Auditor

Summary:

Performs various internal control and compliance audits, including planning, execution, and report preparation; assists Vice President of Audit and Compliance in other administrative duties.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements 
  • Conduct internal compliance audits covering federal and state rules and regulations
  • Conduct internal control audits for all areas of operation
  • Compose audit memos and complete audit work papers 
  • Communicate audit findings to the audit supervisor and management
  • Complete assignments within the scheduled time frame
  • Collaborate with team members in the annual risk assessments
  • Develop and update audit programs

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field - emphasis in finance or accounting preferred
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in bank audit or compliance related area 
  • CRCM, CIA or similar professional certification preferred but not required
  • Ability to travel 5-10%

 

Required Knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office suite
  • Basic math and accounting principles
  • Familiarity with consumer compliance laws and regulations
  • General knowledge of bank operations, internal controls, deposit and lending processes, and account documents
