What You Will Do:

  • Provide support to all assigned areas of branch operations where service or assistance is needed, including new accounts, teller, safe deposit, and other areas of basic branch operations
  • Assist consumer and business customers in their selection of various accounts, products and financial services available from the Bank
  • Ensure cross-sell opportunities are presented by applying professional sales techniques
  • Issue official checks, money orders, traveler’s checks, etc.
  • Present funds received from customer to teller for initial deposits; determines funds availability and obtains receipt for customer
  • Answer telephones and directs callers to proper Bank personnel
  • Make decisions regarding the opening of new accounts; assigns account numbers; completes forms requiring customer signature(s); checks credit history; accepts initial deposits; prepares all documents and items pertaining to checking accounts, savings accounts certificates of deposit, and other products for processing
  • Interview customers to obtain information; establishes proper identification of new customers; determines need and extent of reference investigation; assists customers in completing credit applications
  • Discuss and accept merchant card applications for submission to the Operations Department
  • Present, prepare and process documents related to the Bank’s Online Banking service
  • Provide effective customer service by answering customer questions; investigate and corrects errors; and resolve problems or other issues
  • Gather data and process various reports and callbacks
  • And other duties as assigned, and as needed

 

What We Require from You:

  • Strong communication both verbal and written
  • Strong customer service skills

 

Job Type: Full-time

 

Experience:

  • Teller: 2 years 
  • Cash Handling: 1 year 

 

Education:

  • High school or equivalent required, Associates degree or higher preferred
