Basic and Advanced IRA-Fall Session

October 7 & 8: Online

This is a virtual-only event. Please contact Monique White for more information.

Patrice M. Konarik, president of Sunwest Training Corporation, will cover the basic and advanced aspects as an IRA custodian. The Day 1 basic seminar will include beginning knowledge of IRA terminology, proper IRA set-up and plan opening, qualifications and contribution limits for all IRA plan types, rollovers and transfers, and basic distribution information. The Day 2 intermediate-level seminar will explain the most up-to-date changes, including health savings accounts and nonspouse beneficiary rollovers from qualified plans. You also will learn what to include in your IRA customer files. Konarik will go over extensively complicated distribution issues, such as the “9 RED FLAGS” of death payments to a beneficiary, to make sure your IRS reporting is on the right track. This structure for IRA training will replace the IRA Institute.

Note for all IRA training: Each single day of IRA training can be attended independently of the other, but for the most comprehensive learning experience, attending both sessions back to back is recommended. Each attendee will receive the 250-page IRA Training and Reference manual–also known as the “RED BOOK!”
