The Relationship Manager drives commercial loan production by developing and expanding relationships with businesses, individuals, and community partners. Through networking, community involvement, and direct customer engagement, this role generates referrals, identifies lending opportunities, and grows related deposit and financial service relationships. The position reports to the Bank President/CEO.
Responsibilities
- Engage in local community involvement efforts to increase Bank’s visibility, establish and maintain relationships and goodwill within the market, and generate new business opportunities.
- Interview applicants, complete applications, collect documentation, and underwrite loan requests.
- Maintain timely, reliable communication with applicants throughout the loan process.
- Structure loans and recommend rates based on collateral, cash flow, and borrower creditworthiness; perform additional credit analysis as needed.
- Analyze financial information for new loans, renewals, and portfolio management in accordance with Bank policies.
- Prepare and present complete, accurate commercial loan proposals.
- Guide loan requests through credit approval, balancing client needs with Bank objectives.
- Monitor loan payments and address past-due accounts.
- Manage the loan portfolio, including covenant tracking, annual reviews, and exception resolution.
- Demonstrate and communicate the Bank’s commitment to a culture of professionalism, compliance, high ethical standards, integrity, and respect.
