Position Summary

The President – Jackson Market is responsible for leading the Bank’s presence, performance, and growth in the Jackson, Tennessee market. This executive serves as the senior leader for all market activities, with primary accountability for driving profitable growth through commercial lending, deposit generation, and relationship development.

This role is expected to embody and operationalize the Bank’s Mission, Vision, and Values by building lasting relationships rooted in trust and personalized service, while empowering customers and the community to grow financially and economically. The Market President serves as the face of the Bank—demonstrating leadership that reinforces the Bank’s commitment to being the most trusted and valued financial partner in the communities we serve. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Commercial Lending Leadership

  • Develop and grow a high-quality commercial loan portfolio, focusing on relationship-based lending.
  • Source, structure, and close complex commercial credit opportunities.
  • Maintain strong credit discipline and risk management practices.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with credit administration to ensure timely and sound decision-making aligned with the Bank’s commitment to integrity and transparency.

 

2. Commercial Deposit Growth

  • Lead initiatives to grow core commercial deposits and deepen full banking relationships.
  • Deliver solutions that reflect a personalized, customer-first approach.
  • Collaborate with Treasury Management to provide tailored financial solutions.
  • Optimize deposit mix while maintaining strong client relationships built on trust.

 

3. Business Development & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary relationship leader in the Jackson market.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with business owners, executives, and community leaders.
  • Build a strong prospect pipeline through active engagement and networking.
  • Represent the Bank with professionalism and integrity, reinforcing the Bank’s reputation as a trusted partner.
  • Promote a relationship-based banking model that prioritizes listening, responsiveness, and customized solutions.

 

4. Market Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team aligned with the Bank’s Mission Vision and Values:

5. Strategic Execution

  • Develop and execute a market growth strategy aligned with the Bank’s Vision of being the most trusted financial partner in each community served.
  • Analyze local economic trends and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities.
  • Provide regular reporting on performance, pipeline, and strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to enterprise-wide strategy as a member of senior leadership.

 

6. Community & Public Relations

  • Serve as a visible and engaged leader in the Jackson community.
  • Actively participate in civic, nonprofit, and business organizations.
  • Strengthen the Bank’s brand by demonstrating commitment to community impact and relationship banking.
  • Promote financial empowerment and economic growth within the community, consistent with the Bank’s Mission.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive banking experience
  • Proven success in commercial lending, business development, and leadership

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep understanding of commercial credit and risk management

  • Knowledge of West Tennessee market preferred
