The Southeastern School of Commercial Lending - 34 Graduate from 2010 Program

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Bankers from Tennessee, Georgia, and Mississippi have completed requirements for graduation from the 2010 session of The Southeastern School of Commercial Lending (TSSCL). A total of 34 bankers attended the annual program, which was held at the Owen Graduate School of Management on the Vanderbilt University campus in Nashville, May 16 - 21. The Tennessee Bankers Association (TBA) conducts the school in cooperation with the Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi bankers associations.

The Southeastern School of Consumer Credit - 14 Bankers Graduate

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Bankers Association recently conducted the 2010 session of The Southeastern School of Consumer Credit (TSSCC) with 14 bankers completing requirements for graduation. The annual program was held at the Owen Graduate School of Management on the Vanderbilt University campus. This year’s graduates included one banker from Alabama and 13 from Tennessee. The TSSCC is one of four Southeastern Schools sponsored by the TBA.

Young Bankers Elect New Leadership

NASHVILLE – Delegates of the Young Bankers Division of the Tennessee Bankers Association (TBA) elected new officers and directors for 2010-2011 during their annual Leadership Convention, held April 18-20. The convention also celebrated the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Young Bankers Division.

Savannah Banker Elected President of TBA Independent Bankers Division

Members of the Independent Bankers Division of the Tennessee Bankers Association (TBA) met last week in Nashville for their annual convention. During the program, delegates elected officers and directors to lead the division during 2009-2010. Gordon Majors, president and CEO, of The Hardin County Bank in Savannah, was elected president of the Independent Bankers Division. NASHVILLE—Bankers from six states have completed requirements for graduation from the 2009 session of The Southeastern School of Commercial Lending (TSSCL). A total of 35 bankers from Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Mississippi at-tended the annual program, which was held at the Owen Graduate School of Management on the Vanderbilt University campus in Nashville, May 17–22. The Tennessee Bankers As-sociation (TBA) conducts the school in cooperation with the Alabama, Georgia, , Louisiana, and Mississippi bankers associations.

Tennessee Bankers Association Elects New Leadership Oneida Banker to Serve as Chairman

Michael B. Swain, chairman of The First National Bank of Oneida, Oneida, TN, was installed as chairman of the Tennessee Bankers Association (TBA) during ceremonies at the closing banquet of the organization’s 119th Annual Meeting. Approximately 450 members of the financial services industry and related businesses attended the convention.
