PEP Awards for Web
The
Young Bankers Division of the Tennessee Bankers Association feels
strongly that bankers and educators who demonstrate outstanding
dedication and commitment to the ideal of financial literacy deserve
to be recognized for their efforts. This is accomplished through
the PEP awards program.
While most Tennessee banks are committed to financial literacy
for its own merits, the PEP awards may provide an extra incentive
that makes the difference between a good program and a great program.
In the column on the right of this page, you will find the award
categories and basic criteria for qualifying for the awards.
Most of these awards and certificates are presented in a special
ceremony during the Young Bankers Division’s annual Leadership
Convention. The Plateau Group is sponsoring the award ceremony
at the 2007 Leadership Convention.
The convention is scheduled for April 22-24 at the Perdido Beach
Resort, Orange Beach, AL.
Deadline
for Report Cards
This
year, the deadline is March 13 to submit all activity report
cards to qualify for most of the awards presented at the Leadership
Convention! The
deadline for submitting applications for the Financial Literacy
Teacher of the Year Award and Outstanding Teacher Award
is March 6.
Don’t delay! There is still time to schedule PEP presentations
in order to qualify for awards, certificates, and recognition
by your peers. If you have already made presentations but not
reported them, be sure to get those reports in by March 13.
Within a week or two of this deadline, the TBA will notify all
winners to give them ample time to make plans to attend the Leadership
Convention and receive their recognition in person.
If you have questions regarding the awards and how many presentations
are listed for you or your bank, please contact Monique Jenkins,
TBA PEP coordinator, by E-mail, mjenkins@TNBankers.org,
or telephone her at 615-244-4871 or 800-964-5525. |
