This seminar is a comprehensive overview of BSA’s record-keeping and reporting requirements. Program content also contains an introduction to suspicious activity reporting requirements, as well as the mandate to implement a written anti-money laundering program. These elements are integrated in a practical analysis of how to establish, evaluate, and administer a working BSA compliance effort. All employees with BSA/AML responsibilities, particularly BSA officers and auditors, are required to participate in ongoing training. This program serves as a detailed introduction for new personnel and an important review for experienced personnel.
• BSA is one of the few regulations where compliance is so critical it is classified as a “safety and soundness” issue.
• Regulations require every bank to have an ongoing Bank Secrecy Act training program, and examiners routinely ask for evidence of recent training—even from experienced BSA personnel.
• SAR filing requirements are some of the most difficult compliance responsibilities your institution has.
Who Should Attend
The program is designed for personnel who have responsibility for maintaining or auditing Bank Secrecy Act compliance efforts.
